We have tiny receptors in our noses that help us sense odors. These receptors are like special detectors that pick up on specific aspects of odors in the environment.
If you mix a bunch of chemicals together in a way that activates all of these receptors, it would bombard your nose with too much information.
Professor Noam Sobel, a Stanford and Caltech graduate, took advantage of this and developed a unique mixture that contains up to 60 different molecules.
When you smell this mixture, it activates all the receptors in your nose in a balanced way. This mixture doesn't overwhelm your brain. Instead, it calms things down and helps your brain better identify the smells, even when many different odors are mixed together.

The scent neutralizer should be hung in the room where the litter box is located, preferably at nose level, as molecules affect our scent perception and not the 'bad' molecules coming from the litter box. It is important to hang the neutralizer in an enclosed space; the effect will not be the same in an open space (on a balcony, in a garden, etc.) as the molecules will disperse in all directions.
